April 6, 2018 Friday
This morning I woke up to so many prayer requests from people, that if makes me know the enemy is not happy and is on the move. I have prayed for a young father who has a drug addiction, a 10 year old girl that had cancer return and a 21 month old baby girl who even with antibiotics is fighting pneumonia and has been hospitalized again this week with return of fever and labored breathing. At first it seems like an overwhelmingly evil day ... but then I focus on Jesus and I KNOW His power is released as I pray!
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 65 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
I wrote my prayer for the lost on facebook, but will pray at church for them today by name.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed and I pray for wisdom & guidance
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Last night was a small group of prayer warriors that prayed for the leaders of our church, but I could feel the presence of the Lord and His power released. It is a blessing to be able to pray with and for others.
Yesterday a friend from facebook that I have known for many years asked me what business I might have going that she could promote for me for free. I told her I wasn't doing anything right now, but in talking further I found that she was hurting and needed prayer. That was again following the lead of the Spirit and turned my ordinary day into God's extraordinary power to touch another life.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 5
Satan uses the temptation of morals to bring down Christians. It is so easy to see in this world how minds are being affected and things are being accepted as "open-mindedness". We need to be careful in handling those that break the Lords commandments regarding morals. We need to be sure that we are not condemning, but attempting restoration. Basically for me that means hate the sin, but not the sinner.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Amos 4:13 tell us that God reveals his thoughts to us. He gives us his thoughts! That is incredible. But too often, we chose to follow our own thoughts. We forget the Lord is willing and ready to share his thoughts with us. Ask Him, seek Him and keep knocking - He will respond. Be still and know He is God.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
Seek God's will for my life today. Be very aware of who He places in my life and then go deeper with them, not just a surface contact. He usually puts someone in my life that needs prayer. So I must remain aware.
Have a blessed day.
