PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I praise the Lord for a refreshed morning. Yesterday evening grief knocked me down, but the Lord comforted me in so many ways. I know this will happen again and my faith is my saving grace.

BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians chapter 3
Verse 19 reminds me that the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.

I read in my bible every day but also then the same verses in Jon Courson's Application Commentary. Today as I went to the commentary, he adds little stories and one caught my eye. Basically what it said was if I or a church leader is feeling burned out it is probably because we are keeping our eyes on problems and not on the Lord. Who could be burned out and lose their zeal if their attention is on Jesus and him crucified?

BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Started Part 3, chapter 10 (pages 124-132)
As you listen/hear or even think a thought of someone, that most likely is God talking to you. If you let Him the Lord will help you live out each ordinary day with His extraordinary power. You will see or even be answers to someone's prayers. Life is not always easy, but God promises to always help us through everything - we just need to be listening!

MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
I need to be aware that if I think of someone, God is probably telling me to pray for them or contact them. We don't know what is happening with people, but God does and He might be using us to answer their prayer.
Keep my focus on Jesus and him crucified.

Have a blessed day.
