April 1, 2018

I missed yesterday because of the Easter Egg Hunt at church. Went down there early and was so exhausted when I got home that I did nothing. In fact I woke up with a headache and an achy feeling all over. Praying that goes away before church this morning.

DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 65 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Prayed for 205 lost people by name
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may  have committed and I pray for wisdom & guidance

PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Today is Easter and I know that Lord Jesus has risen and is alive!
Yesterday was a good turn for the Easter Egg Hunt.

BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 1:10-17
We are to be united. Jesus chose to work through the structure of the body of Christ. Paul tells us not to be divided. We should listen to biblical gospel preaching pastors, but we do not follow them, we follow Jesus.

BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Today I read about one of my favorite stories. This was about the woman that bled for 12 years and touched the robe of Jesus and was healed. Think about how weak she might have been and yet she pushed through the crowd that surrounded and pressed in on Jesus. How much energy that must have taken. She went out of her way; she made a huge effort to get to Him and to just touch His clothing. I must make a daily effort to make that kind of personal connection too. I had only thought about the amazing healing that day and the faith of the woman. Today I think of the effort it takes and I bet that effort is the thing that brings a smile to my Lord! I want to make Him smile every day.

MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
I realize that I have so much more to learn about prayer and how it connects me to Jesus. In fact, the more I learn the more I realize that I will never totally understand this wonderful privilege called prayer.  Today I want to spend thanking God for my personal connection with Him.

Have a blessed day.
