April 28, 2018 Saturday

I have been praying about the van and have decided to buy a little tent trailer. I have found one I am going to go look at with Doug and Shirley on Monday. I am just leary of the condition of the engine on the van and I do not want to be broken down somewhere far from home. I will use both this year, the van for close to home trips and decide which one to keep at the end of the year.

DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for 50 people from our lost list by name.

Prayed for the (9) personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear and for feet to follow.
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Pray for my dear friend Donna every day!

PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I am so blessed that my neck is still not hurting! That is a huge blessing.
I am also blessed that I found a tent trailer to go look at and Doug and Shirley are going to go with me. It even has kayak racks on the top so I can haul my kayaks on it!!

BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 12
A chapter so full ... starts out talking about the third heaven, paradise, which is Heaven and the place that God dwells. Then it talks about Paul having that thorn in his side to keep him from being too elated (proud, happy in spirit). And the verse that goes along with the book reading I had today - funny how that works!!!  Verse 9 ... "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness."

BOOK READING:
"TOO BUSY NOT TO PRAY" by Bill Hybels
He talked about how prayer is not a natural or comfortable thing for people to do. But, that they will at some point go to their knees and will all experience God in some profound way. He talked about how when his father died, who was the one person who believed in him more than anyone ever had or ever will and he wondered how he would function in life without that believing person. That hit me between the eyes - because Dick was my biggest fan, my biggest support, my anchor, my compass and I also wondered how I could function without him. So Bill, the author said he prayed and God spoke to his heart and told him that He, God would be enough. That is about what happened with me. God didn't speak to me like He has in the past, but I sensed He was now my best friend, with me always and filling those empty holes in my life.

MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
God, what are You doing in the world today that I can help You with? That is my new question for the day prior to leaving my prayer time!
My thoughts are about being with Doug and Shirley on Monday going to look at the tent trailer. They are full of sorrow now as Doug's sisters husband is in hospice with only hours to day to live. This might be an opportunity to share the gospel with them. Doug will be a hard one! But when he submits to the Lord it would start a domino effect in the family for sure!!! I know he is not beyond the reach of God's hand.

Have a blessed day.
