April 30, 2018 Monday

We are heading to Astoria to look at a pop-up Coleman trailer. I am just afraid the van might not hold up mechanically and that is so frightening to me to be stuck somewhere. I have had one of the pop-ups before and I know it is a bit of work, but I am that stubborn German woman who can do most anything. The one I found is about half the price of others and looks so good. Hope we are not disappointed.

DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 54 church members by name
Praying for 50 people from our lost list by name.

Prayed for the (9) personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear and for feet to follow.
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Pray for my dear friend Donna every day!

PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I was blessed to see Judy loving her Sunshine Sacks.
Also, that Mary too expressed an invitation and the importance of Thursday night prayer!

BIBLE READING:
Galatians 2
Paul confronting Peter ... that took a confident and brave man. But also lets me know that if I am around a "pillar" of the church that is being a hypocrite then I need to confront them. Confrontation is not my thing - but the gospel is so important that sometimes we have to do what is beyond our comfort zone!

 BOOK READING:
"TOO BUSY NOT TO PRAY" by Bill Hybels
Even pre-believers, or as some call them non-believers, believe in prayer and can be forced to their knees in times of need. They may say that answers to prayers are coincidences - but deep down they know because they see that many many coincidences happen when prayers are released to let God go to work.

MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
I just sense that I am to be always alert to what the Holy Spirit has for me today.

Have a blessed day.

Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 54 church members by name
Praying for 50 people from our lost list by name.

Prayed for the (9) personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.

Pray for my dear friend Donna every day!

PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Doug and Shirley asked me to come up and play dominoes last night ... it was fun.
The thunder did not bother Pebbles too much - that was a blessing.

BIBLE READING:
Galatians 1
Paul telling us that He learned the truth, the gospel from Jesus himself for a period of 3 years. How exciting that had to be. After he had tried to destroy Christians, to find the truth in such a miraculous way! I can't even imagine ... what a precious time that had to be.

BOOK READING:
"TOO BUSY NOT TO PRAY" by Bill Hybels
God and I used to be occasional visitors, but the Holy Spirit led me to learn more about prayer. As I grow in prayer - by reading books about it, by studying every prayer verse in the Bible, but mostly by praying ... God reveals more of himself to me. Bill points out exactly what I am learning! Confirmation is an awesome tool.

MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
God, what are You doing in the world today that I can help You with? That is my new question for the day prior to leaving my prayer time!
Last night I had a dream - just a flash, that Doug questioned about God. That would be amazing. I will be spending time with them on Monday so maybe just maybe God is stirring up something in his life.  That is such a strange strange flash of a dream.
Today I shall just be still and know God, feel His presence!

Have a blessed day.

Saturday, April 28, 2018

April 28, 2018 Saturday

I have been praying about the van and have decided to buy a little tent trailer. I have found one I am going to go look at with Doug and Shirley on Monday. I am just leary of the condition of the engine on the van and I do not want to be broken down somewhere far from home. I will use both this year, the van for close to home trips and decide which one to keep at the end of the year.

DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name

I am so blessed that my neck is still not hurting! That is a huge blessing.
I am also blessed that I found a tent trailer to go look at and Doug and Shirley are going to go with me. It even has kayak racks on the top so I can haul my kayaks on it!!

BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 12
A chapter so full ... starts out talking about the third heaven, paradise, which is Heaven and the place that God dwells. Then it talks about Paul having that thorn in his side to keep him from being too elated (proud, happy in spirit). And the verse that goes along with the book reading I had today - funny how that works!!!  Verse 9 ... "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness."

BOOK READING:
"TOO BUSY NOT TO PRAY" by Bill Hybels
He talked about how prayer is not a natural or comfortable thing for people to do. But, that they will at some point go to their knees and will all experience God in some profound way. He talked about how when his father died, who was the one person who believed in him more than anyone ever had or ever will and he wondered how he would function in life without that believing person. That hit me between the eyes - because Dick was my biggest fan, my biggest support, my anchor, my compass and I also wondered how I could function without him. So Bill, the author said he prayed and God spoke to his heart and told him that He, God would be enough. That is about what happened with me. God didn't speak to me like He has in the past, but I sensed He was now my best friend, with me always and filling those empty holes in my life.

MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
God, what are You doing in the world today that I can help You with? That is my new question for the day prior to leaving my prayer time!
My thoughts are about being with Doug and Shirley on Monday going to look at the tent trailer. They are full of sorrow now as Doug's sisters husband is in hospice with only hours to day to live. This might be an opportunity to share the gospel with them. Doug will be a hard one! But when he submits to the Lord it would start a domino effect in the family for sure!!! I know he is not beyond the reach of God's hand.

Have a blessed day.

April 27, 2018 Friday

This is the last morning of the fast and prayer for WINGS. The enemy is really tempting me because I am soooo hungry. When I am discouraged the enemy is so quick to tempt me. I guess it was my will and not God's that many would come to the prayer group last night. I am thankful that I can trust in Him not to be tempted beyond what I can handle and to trust Him as to the growth of our prayer group. I am just saddened that so few respond. However, I rejoice that Donna, Mary, Ron, Laura and Pastor Sheridan are faithful to be present.

DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for lost will be done at church this morning!

I praise God that the pain in my neck is gone this morning. I feel tense as though waiting for it to return so I am using the heat wrap to relax my muscles. I was in so much pain last night at prayer it was hard to concentrate almost to the point of being sick. Praise God it is gone!

BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 11

Beware of false teachers! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. But their end will match their deeds.

BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
I have reached the end of the book and I want to reread it!!! Today was more of a summary of the book and thoughts about spending time listening to God. He speaks all the time, we just need to expect that He is talking to us and listen! Accept the command spoken to the Israelites: "Listen to his voice, and cling to him" (Deuteronomy 13:4)

MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
God, what are You doing in the world today that I can help You with?
Help me to remain humble. Help me to remember I can do nothing outside of what Christ helps me with. All in the world is in God's hands.
Put on the Armor of God!

Have a blessed day.

Thursday, April 26, 2018

April 26, 2018 Thursday

Again this morning I am in prayer as I fast for the new WINGS program coming up soon!
Last night the Purpose class was great. I did not have the leaders notebook and Vicki did not show up to let me have the video capabilities, but God took charge and it was well received.

DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for 50 of the lost in our Salvation group by name

I was blessed to have been equipped by the Lord to lead the Purpose class.
My friend Marilyn that had a hysteroscopy found out she does not have cancer!!! Answer to prayer.

BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 10
 Verses 4 & 5 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
~~~ I must remember to Armor up each day and use the weapons our Heavenly Father provides!
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Today she talks about being prepared to verbally share my faith. Are we ready to do that ... what if someone came up to you and asked you how to know God or what is this thing about religion ... I think I might stutter ... so it impresses upon me to maybe practice. She prayed and told God that even though she did not see herself as a soul winner and it scared her somewhat ... she then asked God to send her an unsaved person!  Watch out! God loves to answer that type of prayer.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
Wow - this time of silence brought tears to my eyes. Actually they are running down my cheeks. As I think of sharing my faith, it also means perhaps finally telling my story. The Purpose class also brings this to light. When I was 15 I was raped and the only person until recently that even knew about it was my precious husband. My family still does not know. I guess I always felt it was my fault, but it certainly shaped my life of destruction for many years. Now 54 years later it is coming to the surface. I am still not sure I want many to know but it feels like it might be time to tell my sisters. That is all I can say for now.
Have a blessed day.
Wednesday, April 25, 2018
April 25, 2018 Wednesday
Day three of my fast. I continue to pray for the new breakfast program and that it will be a vehicle to bring women closer to God.
Tonight I am leading the Purpose class for Pastor Sheridan as he has taken a few days off. Little to no preparation, so a bit nervous and praying that it all goes as the Lord sees fit.
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for 48 of the lost in our Salvation group by name
Prayed for the (7) personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear and for feet to follow.
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
Pray for my dear friend Donna every day!
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
We are being blessed with exceptionally beautiful weather. Thankful that I feel good enough to accomplish a few tasks - like starting the cleaning of the garage.
BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 9
God loves a cheerful giver!
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
This is such an awesome book. Isaiah 30:21 says "This is the way; walk in it." If we listen God will tell us what to do. He wants to speak to us and guide us. A.W Tozer said "God is looking for people through whom He can do the impossible--what a pity that we plan only the things we can do by ourselves." If I feel an impulse to do something I need to pray about it first. I may have a plan to do it one way and God may have an amazingly better way if I only listen first.  I need to ask Him in prayer how He wants me to partner with Him - not just go off on my own and do what I think I should.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
I have had Donna Rose deeply on my heart and mind. She is not one of my favorite people, but I am sure God put her in my life to teach me something about myself.  I sent her a prayer this morning after feeling that tug at my heart. Also, I "angeled" a friend of mine through cancer many years ago and she and her husband said it made all the difference. She passed away, but there were moments of joy in the pain because of the distraction. I sent cards and little things in the mail a couple times a week. Often it arrived on a day when she was having a hard time and it lifted them up when they needed it. So I am feeling that I shall be "angeling" Donna. I learned from my reading that I need to pray about this and let God lead me ... not just do it on my own.
Have a blessed day.
April 24, 2018 Tuesday
My five day fast and prayer for the Women's Prayer Breakfast started yesterday. I decided to skip breakfast as my fast and it was fairly easy partially because I was still not feeling to well. Woke up this morning hungry ... so will need to be in prayer a lot since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day!
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
The bug that tried to get me did not succeed. My body seems to fight these things off pretty easily. Thankful that I did not get strep throat or a bad case of the flu.
BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 8
I wish our world was like verse 15 "As it is written, The one who had much did not have too much, and the one who had little did not have too little."
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
She reminds me to act on those thoughts to contact someone when they are fresh, do not put off calling or sending a note. It might be a blessing or an encouragement that person needs and it is God having you/me being his hands, feet or voice at a moment of need.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
It always upsets me when I have the feelings of not really caring for a person. There are a few women that I just really do not want to be around, but they keep popping up in my life. I do not like having those feelings and I think the Lord is working on me somehow about that. I really want to be able to feel love for everyone, to show kindness and be giving. I am asking God to help me with this.
Invite and encourage others to come to prayer meeting on thursday nights.
Have a blessed day.
April 23, 2018 Monday
I was not feeling well yesterday and today so for I still have a bit of a sore throat, feel like some one drove a truck over me and I feel weak and tired ... Gosh it is only 7am and I just got up. So it will probably be a couch day.  However, I am starting my 5 day fast and prayer for the Women's Breakfast Ministry ... so eating will not be a problem. :)
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
Pray for my dear friend Donna every day!
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
So many people checked up on me yesterday when they found out I am not feeling good. Family and friends are priceless.
BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 7
The fear of grieving God leads to repentance that leads to salvation!!! (verse 10)
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Remember to think of God many times throughout your day, not just at your prayer time. Stop and tell Him you love Him or thank Him ... it will give you a deeper awareness of Him and who He is ... call those your "God Moments".
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
As I fast and pray for the Women's Breakfast I am asking God to bless this ministry and the women who will be attending.
Have a blessed day.
April 22, 2018 Sunday
I woke up at 3am and remembered that Pastor Darin from Junction City has been bugging me to be up and praying before 5:30 ... He calls it being part of the Early Morning School of Prayer.  I guess God wants me to try it to! Time for some self reflection. Terry hurt my feelings and my instinct was to walk away from helping her anymore. Then I wondered if I was just being strong-willed and if I don't get my way I take my marbles and go home attitude. I just know that I need to pray about it. I am also feeling discouraged as people are not coming to prayer groups. Lord help me not to grow weary.
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for 48 of the lost in our Salvation group by name
Prayed for the (7) personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear and for feet to follow.
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
Pray for my dear friend Donna every day!
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I am blessed with a wonderful home. I am blessed with nice days to work outside. I am blessed with plenty of food. I am blessed with many friends. I am blessed with a God that loves me more than I can even love myself.
BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 6
The very first sentence in verse one tells me that we work with Him (Jesus). We are workers with Him not just for Him. He does not just send us out on an assignment, wishing us luck as we leave. No, moment by moment He is with us as we talk to, share with and love people. And He is with them too! This gives me a great deal of confidence in sharing who He is.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
She talked about having a "word" for the year. Not sure that would work for me as I would probably forget it too easily. However, her story reminds me that people might know about me from someone else just by my name, so it is best to always try to represent God every day in every way. We just never know who might see God in us in every day situations.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
Today is my day of rest and reflection upon myself and what I do for the Lord. I think I need to really re-evaluate a few things and prioritize them. Good day for lots of prayer.
Have a blessed day.
It is also a blessing to be able to go into prayer for the lost at church with other people that pray.
I am blessed that I am able to work in the yard and making progress with getting the back yard the way I would like it. It took me four years to redo our place at the coast, but it is taking me so much longer here ... that is ok because I love being outside.
BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 5
We that know the Lord know that He has an eternal home waiting for us with Him. So even though we suffer now, we have a job to do by telling others about Him. So I need to get my job done!
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
If we think we hear God's voice and act on it, but it does not work out the way we thought it would - that is ok.  You will lose nothing by trying to be obedient. Don't stop listening for instructions from God. The only way you fail is if you stop listening.
Section Hosts need to wear name tags.
Organize a method that works for me to regularly send out notes to new people for a period of six months.
BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 4
We carry within our hearts the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be visible to others by the life we live.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Today's reading really hit home. It talked about how we are not believing God enough that when He calls us we don't think He will equip us. Five times Moses told God he wasn't good enough. One of those times hits me directly! Exodus 4:10 says that Moses pleaded with the Lord, "Oh Lord, I'm just not a good speaker. I never have been, and I'm not now, even after you have spoken to me. I'm clumsy with words." Moses even asked God to send someone else in Exodus 4:13.  I think God got mad at Moses and was saddened. We get so focused on our own self that we become self-conscious instead of God-conscious. It is awesome that God loves us more then we could ever love ourselves. I need to remember God uses very very ordinary people - like me!
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
This was a hard time. Pebbles keeps crying for me and my mind kept wandering. I may have to repeat it later today. The thought that did come to my mind was one word: TRUST so I will just wait to see if that plays a part in today.
Have a blessed day.
Yahoo .... sunshine!!!! I will be outside working today once it warms up. It was only 37 degrees out there this morning. I can handle and like cool to work in - but that is cold!
BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 3
Where the Spirit of the Lord is - there is freedom!
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
I am into a great section about barriers we put up. Sometimes we put up barriers that keep us from hearing God. One is that we are just too busy so we do not take the time to listen. It is easier to give God our left over time, rather than our best time. I bet that makes the enemy smile! I am so grateful that God is never too busy for me. We make time for what is important in our lives. I want to make the enemy unhappy today, how about you?
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
The thought that kept going through my mind was that I should be sitting on the edge of my seat because I am about to be blessed big time! Oh my ... I wonder???
The other thought is I need to call my aunt Susie who turns 88 tomorrow. She is mom's baby sister and last living sibling of the 12.
I feel led to pray for marriages all around me, may they be strengthened.
Have a blessed day.
 2 Corinthians 2
Verse 15 and 16 remind me that the gospel, the truth about Jesus is a sweet odor for those that believe and will live for eternity with Him. However, those that do not believe also smell a sickly sweet odor which is that of death. That is heartbreaking for me.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
We need to ask God to silence any voices except for His when we are listening. Satan is cunning, negative and critical. He will keep trying to bring up past issues. He will condemn you and try to make you feel guilty and shameful. He will make you doubt your own worth. If you have a lot of negative self-talk, it could be the voice of the enemy that is seeking to destroy you. Seek God for help and for that voice to be silenced.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
The thoughts that came to my mind were about Pastor asking some of us to connect with and contact Joyce, a new red haired lady that has reached out. However, many of us have and there does not seem to be the right connection. He does not want us to give up on her. Vicki says this has happened in the past as well. I just do not feel like I would be effective and I am really fighting the request to contact her. I will have to continue praying about this today and if she keeps coming to mind I will then contact her again.
Have a blessed day.
April 17, 2018 Tuesday
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for the lost in our Salvation group later this morning at church.
Prayed for the (6) personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear and for feet to follow.
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I feel blessed that two people commented on my post about prayer yesterday. To think Marilyn is sharing my thoughts and then privately told me she does that often and her little group of women in Sweet Home hear about my words often surprised me. She said there are six of them that pray and share their lives together and they are getting to know me through her ... God amazes me when He uses some one like me! And then I was blessed that Sean took the time to comment.
BIBLE READING:
 2 Corinthians 1
Verse 10 And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.
I thank God for my salvation. May my faith never fail, for I do believe He continues to rescue us and I pray this for our lost.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
I am learning that I must always go to the best help first, Jesus and his Word before I seek human help. He then makes sure I have the confirmation I need which is sometimes the godly counsel of others or something that happens to make me know He is confirming what He has told me.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
I guess today was one of the days I just got to bask in the presence of the Lord. I had fleeting thoughts of Ashley wanting to help with the nursery and the need to tell Sandie even though I have already told Terry. I shall just continue to listen to for God's guidance through out my day.
Have a blessed day.
April 16, 2018 Monday
I am so tired of this rain and gloomy weather! Guess I need to pull out my S.A.D light. The movie and dinner last night was fun, but not nearly as fun as the bowling outing!  Guess I am just an activity person.
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for the lost in our Salvation group later this morning at church.
Prayed for the (5) personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear and for feet to follow.
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Blessed with another group of friends that I got to spend the evening with as we watched "I Can Only Imagine" and had dinner at the Skyline.
Blessed that Dee and Cal might want to be part of the Prayer Planning Team.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 16
Verses I love and we often need to use and hear:
"13 Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.
 14 Let all that you do be done in love."
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Even if I/you do not hear from God in your listening time, just basking in His presence is an awesome experience. The book also talked about T.A.W.G 'Time Alone With God'. It can also be broken down into HAWG - Hour Alone With God or DAWG Day Alone With God. The church Marilyn, the author attends promotes those times. Even gives some great tips in an index at the end of the book.  I think this would be such a good book for a Book Class at church. A time when we can just read as much as we get to each class and then discuss and put into practice in our lives.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
My thoughts went to the fact that when people call me a prayer warrior, my first instinct is to say I am no more a prayer warrior than you are!  I am not special ... so as I was silent before the Lord today it made me think that maybe I need to share my prayer life story so people know that I am just like them - there are times I don't want to pray and then that is when I pray harder and God answers and draws me closer into Him and to prayer. How even this morning I did not want to pray and then I asked why - that is like saying I would not have wanted to talk to my husband today ... boy oh boy the enemy is clever with his deceitful ways!
I also thought about how people should be encouraged on Sundays to interrupt the service and really share their testimonies from the week ... Oh how the Holy Spirit needs to be welcomed even more into our midst.
Have a blessed day.
April 15, Sunday
This is my favorite day of the week! I love being with my church family, being refreshed by the very presence of our Lord.
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for the lost in our Salvation group later this morning at church.
Prayed for the (5) personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear.
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
What a fun time and what a blessing it was to go bowling and for ice cream with the LebNaz gang. I didn't bowl because my back was bothering me from doing the yard work, but I was blessed to be with such great friends.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 15
It was the very last verse (58) that I loved today. "Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
God does not just wait for us to be in a quiet time with him in order for him to speak. It would be like being in a room with someone else - both doing different projects, but if that person spoke you would hear. God is with us all the time and He will speak to us, again if we are willing to listen.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
The only thing that came to mind - twice was that today is the day of rest.
I did have a flash of Joe and Becca come to mind, but not what to say or do so I will just be sure I greet them in church.
Have a blessed day.
Saturday, April 14, 2018
April 14, 2018 Saturday
I am not enjoying life alone, but I don't know of anyone that I would want to live with me - I miss Dick so much ... so I will just keep praying for a new acceptance.  Maybe I just need some sunshine, exercise and warm days!!!!
(I wrote that note above earlier and then I did my praying and I sent Mary a note asking her how I could pray for her. She said she was missing her best friend Kim so much. I told her I understood and to hang on because God will fill those holes ... WOW those words come right back to me - it is as if God is confirming that for both of us.)
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for the lost in our Salvation group later this morning at church.
Prayed for the (5) personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear.
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I am thankful for the blessings of my church family and friends. Life would be so hard right now without them. I am blessed that God has drawn me near and continues to work on me.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 14
Paul talks about speaking in tongues. I do believe that this happens because I believe the Bible. For instance I believe Paul went to areas where the people spoke a different language. I think the Holy Spirit took the words that came from Paul and the words came out in that different language. It would be like me going to France and no one spoke English and I don't know French - I would speak and the words came out in French ... My mind would not know those words even though my mind sent the words out of my mouth ... anyway that is my acceptance in my pee brain of speaking in tongue. I pray for gifts that I can use to build up the church and I don't think speaking in tongue is something that would work here in Lebanon!
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
God may not continue to give you guidance if you ignore Him. If he places on your heart to call or send someone a note, but you ignore it ... and again it is placed on your heart and you ignore it ... the promptings will fade. We must be obedient and stay in tune with our Lord ... it is a two way street.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
Prepare for a 5 day fast prior to starting the women's breakfast and teaching Christianity 101.
MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
Wipe out everything I have ever read or thought about prayer and reread what the Bible says about it.
Review my calls to actions so far this month.
Have a blessed day.
April 13, 2018 Friday
I am still so full from our prayer time last night. There were only 4 of us, but it was one of those times when it was so Spirit led. I sit on the edge of my seat with expectation of what God will do in answer to our prayers for the city of Lebanon. How I wish for more of our congregation to come out  and experience our prayer times as a united body of believers so they too can be blessed and be as spirit filled as I am right now.
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for the lost in our Salvation group later this morning at church.
Prayed for the personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear.
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I am blessed and give praise to God for Pastor Sheridan, Laura and Mary and their faithfulness and hearts for prayer. It was such an honor to pray with them last night.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 12 and 13
Awe the chapter of spiritual gifts ... and the best of those being able to love. I need to double check my love: Is it patient? Is it kind? Is it envious, boastful, arrogant or rude? Does it insist on its own way? Is it irritable or resentful? Does it rejoice in the truth? Does it bear all things? Does it hope for all things? Does it endure all things? I really need to work on some of these things with the help of the Holy Spirit!
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
It is good to ask God questions prior to going into or as going into the time of listening. Ask who He might want you to pray for; Is there something He needs to reveal about my own heart; Is there someone He wants me to send an encouraging note to; What might He want me to do today that might make a difference for eternity?
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
My thoughts before going into my "listening time" are about the new people that come to our church. What men are contacting the new young men and encouraging them to read the bible, to pray with their wives, to attend Life Track? I think about Sean, Joe and Micah. What women are doing that for the women that come to church? I think about Becca and Ashley. Who is inviting them to Sunday School class? These are the questions I shall have to discover the answer to, if there is one.
As a result of my "listening time: List out people in our church and write down their spiritual gifts and talents, as well as what groups they are going to ... if none ask them to join.
Instead of having resentful feelings that others are not jumping in and doing more, I need to pray for more endurance and more love and give even more of myself to Christ. He died for me!!
Have a blessed day.
April 12. 2018 Thursday
Rainy, gloomy day outside - but tonight is Prayer night!!! I didn't always look forward to it as much as I do now. It took real consistent time with the Lord and asking him for a deeper personal relationship. But now I love my prayer times because it is a two way communication not just me going to Him.
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Prayed for the 43 on our list of the lost
Prayed for 4 personal requesst that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear.
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I asked a few people if they would be interested in a class on Christianity 101 and three people have said they would come - Joe, Becca and Abby.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 11
Verses 24-26 Explains the purpose of Communion. His body the bread; His blood the wine.
This is a great reminder for me to keep my eyes focused on Jesus today.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
During your times of "Listening for God", you might feel distractions ... like you just remembered you forgot to turn on the dishwasher - have paper and pen handy, write it down and go back to listening. A name might come to mind - jot it down and go back to listening. The suggested time according to this book and makes sense to me is to do listening time after bible reading and prayer time.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
I feel the need to continue to seek God asking Him if all the things I am doing for and at the church are things He wants me to do or are they my own actions. So far I have peace that they are from Him.
I have started setting the kitchen timer for 5 minutes once I have completed everything here and that is my LISTENING time. Doesn't seem like long enough so I may have to increase - however I was given or thought of a challenge for the prayer team tonight ... so I think the time was right for today.
Have a blessed day.
April 11, 2018 Wednesday
Late night at the church! Board meeting was done at 9pm then took me forever to go to sleep. I am now a steward for the next three years. I will be working with Ron Miller, Debbie Leckie and Mary Boykin.
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Prayed for the 52 on our list of the lost
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear.
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I have so worried about new people coming in and not getting a good basic start in their walk with the Lord, so I have been writing a class ... made the outline and started with Who is God!  I had looked for a good starting book and did not find one ... until Sunday! Vicki had "Christianity 101" book in Sunday School. I took it home, read it and to my amazement it follows my outline exactly!!   I am going to start teaching a Sunday night class for new Christians. This is such a blessing because it has been on my heart for years.
It was a blessing to be given the nearly outdated foods from the pantry to give to Micah and Ashley. It was just the Lord placing me there that made that happen. Vicki was going to take them to her daughter until she saw me and asked about the kids. They were truly blessed.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 10
Verse 13 ... God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.
Pretty self explanatory!!!
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Some people do not believe they will hear the voice of God. Unbelief can keep a person from hearing from God. If that is the case, they should ask the Lord to help with their unbelief.
Mark 9:24 "Immediately the father of the child cried out, "I believe; help me with my unbelief."
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
Evaluate all the things I am doing at the church to see which ones feel most effective and then to plan out a time for each one to be sure I am doing my 110% best at each.
I also need to get back to walking my neighborhood as that is my best "listening for God" time.
Have a blessed day.
Tuesday, April 10, 2018
April 10, 2018 Tuesday
I woke up so depressed I did not even want to get up. I came into this room where I doing my praying and journaling and there was a sense of eagerness to pray. Then I said a quick prayer in the Salvation Prayer group declaring how I turn to God and He helps. Right after I finished, my sister Shirley called and we had a great time laughing. God gives us what we need when we need it. I am not totally full of cheer now, but the fog of depression is not nearly as thick as it was.
As I read my notes from yesterday in the book reading section ... it happened yesterday and that is why I am in this funk!  In a conversation with Vicki and Mary about WINGS the enemy was trying to stick his thumb right in the middle!!! Lord let it train me and not drain me.
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Prayed for the 52 on our list of the lost
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear.
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Denise and then Shirley both invited me out to dinner/lunch on Sunday for Shirley's birthday. They always bless me by including me.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 9
Verse 24 "Do you not know that in a race the runners all compete, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win it."
I try to put 110% into following the instructions of the Lord because the prize is a lifetime with Him, with no physical or emotional pain. I want that and I want to live in love with Him.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
We are each so individually made and how God speaks to each of us is different. We must learn to "Listen" to God in our own way, the way He made us.
Isaiah 48:17 says "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you  in the way you should go."
Psalm 32:8 says "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you  and watch over you."
God is so personal with each one of us!
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
I feel led to print out my blog journal entries and reread them as they are instructions for my life. It takes awhile for things to sink in and become habit. I can not just read and retain and act on things unless I have meditated on them and that is what I am feeling I need to do. Yesterday my lesson from the book reading was tested and I missed it until I reread it today and discovered I fell into a part of the enemies trap.
Have a blessed day.
April 9, 2018 Monday
A beautiful sunny day! Looking forward to Prime Timers lunch today.
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Prayed for the 52 on our list of the lost
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear.
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I am thrilled the WINGS program was well received and that it has the opportunity to be a blessing for many women in the area.
I am also so stinking excited about the booklet that Vicki had in Sunday School class - "Christianity 101" - that is what I have been looking for and even started writing myself. The amazing thing is that the outline fits exactly into what I was putting together. I am blessed with the opportunity to lead a class for those new Christians coming to our church.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 8
Reminds me not to be a stumbling block for others. It also reminds me that knowledge of the Bible should not be a factor that puffs me up,  but love should be the factor because it builds others up. It makes me think of dealing with baby Christians. I need to rely on God to show me how to help them and never think I know what to do on my own because I really don't and I need to rely on the Holy Spirits direction.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Satan will try to steal our joy and our purpose. When we get negative feed back from others, it might just be the enemy trying to break our calling from God to a ministry. I know I tend to have a defensive attitude and can become depressed when comments are harsh and extremely critical. I really want to have a teachable spirit and listen for the nuggets of truth in comments, so I can correct if need be and to just blow off anything that is just chaff. When I feel those things, it is important that I give God time to talk me and instruct me. I must learn to let negative situations either drain me or train me!
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
I don't feel a strong call to action except the words "keep listening" comes to my mind over and over again.
As I read over what I had written today the theme was: baby Christians, teaching, learning, listening and not letting the enemy derail a potential ministry.
Have a blessed day.
Sunday, April 8, 2018
April 8, 2018 Sunday
Today I get to go to church and Sunday School! Also excited about revealing the W.I.N.G.S program and brochures to women of the church today!!!
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 65 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Prayed for the 50 on our list of the lost
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may  have committed and I pray for wisdom & guidance
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Yesterday there was an overwhelming response to making Sunshine Sacks for Judy. That always warms my heart when so many can love on somebody that might need it.
My thoughts yesterday was that now that I do not have Dick to shower with love, I find myself doing that more and more with others.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 7
This chapter talks of the directions for marriages. One verse that did stand out is 23 "You were bought with a price, do not become slaves of human masters." That can mean so many things, but today it means to me, do not love your spouse more than God.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Today's reading reminds that prayer is a two way communication. I must listen more. The example was like going to the doctor telling them what is wrong and then getting up to leave without getting the diagnosis or treatment. I can see that I have done way too much of that with God.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
JaKay put out a plea to have her friend Mary Ann acknowledged and greeted when she brings her to church - I must do that. Also, Pastor Sheridan wants to make sure Joyce who just started attending is embraced. I think I just need to be willing to greet others so they feel welcomed and loved in God's house.
Have a blessed day.
Saturday, April 7, 2018
April 7, 2018 Saturday
A big gust of wind woke me up about 3:30 and I was wide awake ... might be a long day or a nap might be involved. :)
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 65 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Prayed for the 205 on our list of the lost
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may  have committed and I pray for wisdom & guidance
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Last night was the first session of Life Track round three. Robin, Doc Sandy, Joe and Sean came to
the class. It was really a great time and a new atmosphere since it was in the class room rather the sanctuary. At the end Sean gave me a big hug and thanked me for praying for him. His sincere hug was a real blessing to me. Doc Sandy wants to become a member and Joe wants to be baptized!
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 6
My body is not my own. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. My body was purchased by the blood of Jesus. I have abused my body in many ways and I must remember this!
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
As I create my "to do list" for each day, I have never included God's things for me to do! Her example was that she asked God what he wanted her to do and 5 names came to mind that she need to send a card to or call ... so that is something I need to do ... part of my call to action which starts my day and stays with me.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
I thought of this the last few days but have not acted upon it. I need to let the people in the prayer groups know how thankful I am for them and that I pray for them daily. It keeps coming to my mind so I am thinking it must be from God.
Also, just to mind is the "Sunshine Bags" - I think we need to do this for Judy Miller. She has suffered the loss of her mother and faced so many health challenges this year.
Have a blessed day.
April 6, 2018 Friday
This morning I woke up to so many prayer requests from people, that if makes me know the enemy is not happy and is on the move. I have prayed for a young father who has a drug addiction, a 10 year old girl that had cancer return and a 21 month old baby girl who even with antibiotics is fighting pneumonia and has been hospitalized again this week with return of fever and labored breathing. At first it seems like an overwhelmingly evil day ... but then I focus on Jesus and I KNOW His power is released as I pray!
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 65 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
I wrote my prayer for the lost on facebook, but will pray at church for them today by name.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may  have committed and I pray for wisdom & guidance
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Last night was a small group of prayer warriors that prayed for the leaders of our church, but I could feel the presence of the Lord and His power released. It is a blessing to be able to pray with and for others.
Yesterday a friend from facebook that I have known for many years asked me what business I might have going that she could promote for me for free. I told her I wasn't doing anything right now, but in talking further I found that she was hurting and needed prayer. That was again following the lead of the Spirit and turned my ordinary day into God's extraordinary power to touch another life.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 5
Satan uses the temptation of morals to bring down Christians. It is so easy to see in this world how minds are being affected and things are being accepted as "open-mindedness". We need to be careful in handling those that break the Lords commandments regarding morals. We need to be sure that we are not condemning, but attempting restoration. Basically for me that means hate the sin, but not the sinner.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Amos 4:13 tell us that God reveals his thoughts to us. He gives us his thoughts! That is incredible. But too often, we chose to follow our own thoughts. We forget the Lord is willing and ready to share his thoughts with us. Ask Him, seek Him and keep knocking - He will respond. Be still and know He is God.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
Seek God's will for my life today. Be very aware of who He places in my life and then go deeper with them, not just a surface contact. He usually puts someone in my life that needs prayer. So I must remain aware.
Have a blessed day.
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7 (KJV)
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Prayed for 52 of the lost
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Yesterday, I read about those ideas and people that God puts in your mind and then you should do something about it because it is from God. How if I listen the Lord helps me to live out my ordinary day with His extraordinary power. Here is God’s extraordinary power in action!
The day before yesterday, I was grieving and a friends son posted a comment about him sharing my grief because he lost his best friend. That young man and I have never really had a conversation. I ran into his mother and she mention him posting on my page. She said he really has a connection to me and listens intently when I post or say something. Big surprise to me!
I came home and felt such a need to pray for him, but also to let him know my prayer. So I wrote him a private prayer as a facebook message. He responded almost immediately telling me this was one of the hardest days he has ever had and my prayer gave him hope. He then told me how important he has come to realize that his church family is to him. Then he prayed for me.
If Pastor Darin had not shared that book title with me; if I had not listened to what his mother said; if I had ignored that thought to pray for him and with him … he may have struggled to find hope and my day would have remained ordinary. Many blessings not just to me! I praise God.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians chapter 4
As I read and it talks about the mysteries of the Bible, I think of why must I read Leviticus? But I think it is a mystery that will be revealed one day so I need to know what it says. Jon Courson compared it to digging ditches ... they may be dry now, but one day the Lord will fill those ditches with living water - so I need to keep digging.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Finished Part 3, chapter 10 (pages 132-138)
This reading today just confirmed with stories how we need to be obedient to the "voice" of God available to us each day. How He does provide over and over again.
My thoughts keep going to wondering if this will happen every day ... it did yesterday, will it today? I guess we will know from my journal tomorrow.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
I was led to post on my facebook page asking people how I might pray for them.
Have a blessed day.
April 4, 2018 Wednesday
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”  Lamentations 3:22-24
Prayed for 65 members of my family (saved and unsaved)
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Prayed for 50 of the lost
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
I praise the Lord for a refreshed morning. Yesterday evening grief knocked me down, but the Lord comforted me in so many ways. I know this will happen again and my faith is my saving grace.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians chapter 3
Verse 19 reminds me that the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.
I read in my bible every day but also then the same verses in Jon Courson's Application Commentary. Today as I went to the commentary, he adds little stories and one caught my eye. Basically what it said was if I or a church leader is feeling burned out it is probably because we are keeping our eyes on problems and not on the Lord. Who could be burned out and lose their zeal if their attention is on Jesus and him crucified?
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Started Part 3, chapter 10 (pages 124-132)
As you listen/hear or even think a thought of someone, that most likely is God talking to you. If you let Him the Lord will help you live out each ordinary day with His extraordinary power. You will see or even be answers to someone's prayers. Life is not always easy, but God promises to always help us through everything - we just need to be listening!
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
I need to be aware that if I think of someone, God is probably telling me to pray for them or contact them. We don't know what is happening with people, but God does and He might be using us to answer their prayer.
Keep my focus on Jesus and him crucified.
Have a blessed day.
One of God's awesome promises for me! I can't wait to find out!!!
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Started Part 3, chapter 10 (pages 123-127)
This reminds me that if a thought to do something for someone comes into my mind it is probably from God and I need to pay attention. That is called listening to God. Sometimes He needs to bop me on the head a couple of times!
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
Listen for God's instructions. I need to pay attention to what He puts before me or in my thoughts - those are His ways of communicating and I must not miss those opportunities.
Have a blessed day.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 1:18-31
The verse that stand out to me today reminds me who God is to me!
Every good thing that happens through me is because of Him - never me, except He that is in me!
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Started Chapter 9
Do we sometimes pray in a manner in front of others to "protect God's reputation"? By maybe adding "if it is His will"? That is why I love child-like prayers ... they are so pure and trusting. I thank God for answering my "lack of faith prayers" when I add my adult language. God is so incredible!
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
Invite more people to Life Track that starts on Friday. I have invited Rhonda Mills-Candela, but she has to work friday nights. I have invited Dan and Robin - I had to tell them the next step is up to them and I have invited Micah and Ashley. They will come if they can get off work in time.
I am going to invite Sri and Shelby today.
Have a blessed day.
April 1, 2018
I missed yesterday because of the Easter Egg Hunt at church. Went down there early and was so exhausted when I got home that I did nothing. In fact I woke up with a headache and an achy feeling all over. Praying that goes away before church this morning.
DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 65 members of my family.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase to 12 by the end of the year.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Prayed for 29 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Prayed for 205 lost people by name
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may  have committed and I pray for wisdom & guidance
PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Today is Easter and I know that Lord Jesus has risen and is alive!
Yesterday was a good turn for the Easter Egg Hunt.
BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 1:10-17
We are to be united. Jesus chose to work through the structure of the body of Christ. Paul tells us not to be divided. We should listen to biblical gospel preaching pastors, but we do not follow them, we follow Jesus.
BOOK READING:
"Listening for God" by Marilyn Hontz
Today I read about one of my favorite stories. This was about the woman that bled for 12 years and touched the robe of Jesus and was healed. Think about how weak she might have been and yet she pushed through the crowd that surrounded and pressed in on Jesus. How much energy that must have taken. She went out of her way; she made a huge effort to get to Him and to just touch His clothing. I must make a daily effort to make that kind of personal connection too. I had only thought about the amazing healing that day and the faith of the woman. Today I think of the effort it takes and I bet that effort is the thing that brings a smile to my Lord! I want to make Him smile every day.
MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY:
I realize that I have so much more to learn about prayer and how it connects me to Jesus. In fact, the more I learn the more I realize that I will never totally understand this wonderful privilege called prayer.  Today I want to spend thanking God for my personal connection with Him.
Have a blessed day.
