May 5, 2018 Saturday

Spent time with Doug and Shirley yesterday and will again today as we do some little things to the tent trailer. I mention this because I just talked about how I should love everyone. I have a hard time with Doug. This process is bringing to light that I have not obeyed God because I am to love everyone, even those that put thorns in my side! I shall keep this in mind as I go through the day and see if I can truly obey.

DAILY PRAYERS:
Prayed for 66 members of my family.
Prayed for 18 prayer warriors by name
Prayed for 40 church members by name
Praying for 54 of the lost on our list by name.

Prayed for the (9) personal requests that have been confidentially asked of me to pray.
Prayed forgiveness of any sin I may have committed. I pray for wisdom, guidance and ears to hear and for feet to follow.
Pray for our church to be a house of prayer and the prayer life of the congregation to be elevated.
Prayed for the Salvation Praying Group to increase.
Prayed for the Power Hour of Prayer Group to increase.
Prayed for church average attendance to continue to increase to 150 by the end of the year.
Pray for my dear friend Donna every day!

PRAISES AND BLESSINGS:
Korner Kitchen cancelled our WINGS prayer breakfast because the double booked, so I am thankful and praise the Lord that we were able to get rescheduled with Appletree Restaurant.

BIBLE READING:
Ephesians 1
I love Paul's prayer in this chapter. He goes to the root of the issue ... we would pray - Lord help Billy get off drugs, Paul would pray give Billy wisdom and let him know You.
I am also reminded that every storm that threatens me is underneath the feet of Jesus. He is in absolute control over everything that might try to sink me or wipe me out!

 BOOK READING:
"TOO BUSY NOT TO PRAY" by Bill Hybels
Just as a mom or dad cherish that call from their child, God cherishes a million times more that call/prayer from me, from you. When we know that deep in our hearts we will never be too busy to pray. If I were a mom and my child called me would I say not now I am doing the dishes. If I were a dad would I say not now to a child that called me, I have to mow the lawn. It always makes me sad when people are too busy or too tired to come to prayer.

MY CALL TO ACTION TODAY/MY TIME OF SILENCE NOTES:
A lot of thoughts about leading a class year round (except not summer time) on prayer. Just going through book after excellent book on prayer and maybe every verse in the Bible about prayer.

Have a blessed day.
